Jennifer Molloy of Amoré Events, a Southern California Wedding & Event Planner, is the proud owner of a refreshed and incredible looking website! We designed Jennifer’s original website over 9 years ago and while it was great for it’s time, it was in need of a new look to better represent Jennifer’s brand. Check out all of the “Before & After” shots below.
Overall, it was a “Modern Refresh” both look & feel. The original site was functional, but spreadout. The new site features a full-width one-page scroll template, making it easier reading on both desktop and mobile. Each tab in the navigation leads to a section on the Home (one-page) screen. Behind the scenes, we updated each page with new verbiage and more relevant information. This redesign is more user friendly and easier to scroll through on mobile! In addition to mobile, we also ensure it is fully responsive for good use on tablets.
One Page Layout
One of the major differences between the old website and our redesign is the lyout of the website. We decided to take it down to a one-page layout instead of multiple pages to display the information! With this website, it makes way more sense to do so because there simply was not enough information to create individual pages. It’s more sleek and functional plus the modern feel is key.
On the back end, having a one-page layout makes almost everything simplified. It’s easy to manage and maintain when you don’t have to hop around to all the different pages to make sure everything is formatted and unified throughout…everything is in one place!
Built on WordPress
This website is built on WordPress which is an open-source Content Management System (CMS) framework. WordPress is hugely popular due to its ease of use, wide range of capabilities, customizable architecture and a large pool of designers and developers. WordPress powers over 60% of all CMS type of websites, over 30% of the total internet and is backed by a pool of over 100,000 designers and developers.
The extremely wide-range of plugins and add-ons make the site easy to upgrade and expand in regards to functionality and content. Because of its popularity, the architects of WordPress keep the overall platform and architecture easy for webmasters and website owners to update content on the site.
