Project Description
Our creative work for Canyon Springs Church includes these children’s promotional apparel T-shirts that we designed for their summer 2014 Vacation Bible School (VBS).
We began with an original logo design. This was meant to appeal to children, so we opted for bright colors, an island theme, and a fun font to really capture the “Son Treasure Island” theme. Then we did the VBS postcard graphic design and printing as a way to spread the word and get people excited about this week-long summer program.
Our last step for this project was taking those logos and adjusting them for the design of the tees! This print design had an inherit problem due to a single logo design printed on a wide range of colored shirts. To accommodate this, we included a thick white outline/stroke around the entire logo. Without it, a tan or brown shirt would ‘swallow’ up the design due to similar colors. This also helped the logo pop against the bright, rainbow colored shirts.
The kids loved having their own special “uniforms” for the week, and we loved working on such a fun project.
