WordPress Website Design for Geary Floors

We had the pleasure to redesign, refresh and update the Geary Floors website, including uploading 15+ major flooring projects. With over 25 years of experience, Geary Floors is a hardwood flooring company that does full-service residential, sport, and commercial flooring with a motto of “Quality you stand on, we stand behind.” For companies like Geary Floors, it is important to showcase different projects and portfolios for potential clients. We were able to organize and reformat this portfolio as well as make each page consistent and uniform.

As noted above, it’s important for future and present clients to be able to go to a company’s website and view their work. To meet this need, we built a custom project portfolio and photo gallery system that looks great to the end user, and easy to manage from the back end. Each portfolio had a description of the project and any special skills or notes. Within each portfolio is a photo gallery of the project. These photo galleries also live on the websites “gallery” section which is just images only. Overall, it’s a great combination of showcasing much of their great work in both portfolio format and image gallery format!

For the photo gallery noted above, we had to narrow down the “select” photos and also enhance them. Like many of our clients, Geary Floors had thousands of images from dozens and dozens of projects over the years. Sometimes a project would have over 100 images. it would be unfeasible to post all of the images so we “culled” (narrowed) down the photos for each project. Each gallery images were named in accordance to the project instead of a bunch of IMG_7784 and IMG_7785 images. Finally, we “enhanced” every image through Photoshop to improve the appearance and overall quality of the pictures.
