Project Description
We have enjoyed a relationship with the San Diego Injury Clinic and Prevention Center (formerly the San Diego Running Institute*) for over 12 years! We’ve helped them with their website, marketing, and related print design projects over the years! SDRI is a chiropractic office in San Diego that seeks to utilize current available scientific research pertaining to athletic and running related injuries to provide you with effective treatment options and solutions. We actually designed their original website in 2008 and then again 2012, so it made sense that they would ask us to redesign it again in 2019 to a more modern look and feel.
*Dr. Bruce Allen became the sole owner of SDRI in 2018 and it now goes by the name “Bruce B. Allen Chiropractic” so you might notice some differences in the names/screenshots.
The original website was pretty old…7 yrs which is pretty outdated in the tech world. It looked good, but the technology needed some guidance. The first thing we did was a facelift! It now has a freshened-up new theme to make it cleaner and optimized. SDRI wanted more of an open feel and minimalistic navigation, so we lightened up the whole website from the dark colors and built up a Mega Navigation Menu (featured below). Along with aesthetics, the site also received a big performance boost!
Page and Post Optimization
This feature was extremely important for the SDRI website. They had so many pages and blog posts, that we decided to comb through and update ALL of them! We essentially stripped down the site, optimizing and reorganizing with a new theme to simplify navigating through over 500+ posts and pages!
Mega Menu Navigation
Due to the fact that we were so many posts and pages, it made sense to categorize and organize them more efficiently! The best thing to do in situations like this is to build a Mega Menu Navigation. We helped SDRI organize all of this content into categories, making the site much more user friendly and functional. Now people can look through the Injuries options and find articles and options pertaining to exactly the injury they are looking for.

This website is built on WordPress which is an open-source Content Management System (CMS) framework. WordPress is hugely popular due to its ease of use, wide range of capabilities, customizable architecture and a large pool of designers and developers.
